CEO AND FOUNDER OF SENTHERA

Mr. Tandakha Ndiaye DIEYE is a Full Professor at Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD) in Dakar and universities in Senegal. He is an internationally renowned researcher who has dedicated his career to improving public health outcomes through research in the immunology of infectious diseases and congenital immunodeficiencies. From the beginning of his specialization in immunology at the Christian de Duve Institute of Cellular Pathology ICP (UCL) then at the ULB in Brussels, he quickly invested in diagnosis, prevention through vaccination, treatment and the follow-up of patients with immunodeficiencies.
Mr. Dieye has been one of the pioneers in the diagnosis of congenital immunodeficiencies in Senegal since 2009, which led to the creation of the Senegalese association of people with primary immunodeficiencies (ASDIP). Becoming President of the African Society For Immunodeficiencies (ASID) in 2017, he made several pleas for better accessibility to biological medicines for people with these congenital anomalies.
Throughout his studies, Prof. Dieye has played a crucial role in improving the teaching of vaccinology and immunology in Africa, and especially in the continuous effort to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr Dieye is also a WHO consultant, a member of the regional committee to verify the elimination of measles and rubella through vaccination in Africa. Prof. Dieye's work has not gone unnoticed, and he has been awarded numerous times for his contributions to global health. His research has been published in prestigious medical journals, and he is frequently invited to speak at conferences and symposiums around the world. The advent of the COVID-19 pandemic has shown the urgency for the African continent to locally have quality and accessible biological medicines. Developing local industry is becoming a necessity for the health of the African population.
